The Origin Of Vietnamese Cement

Origin

It is a powdered material that is finely ground and commonly blue-gray. Its manufacturing process involves indispensable components such as clay, marl, and limestone.

When blended with water, it functions as a sticky glue to attach gravel, sand, or hard rock. The material can harden both underwater and in the air. Plus, once set, it can stay that way.

This material is available as a homogeneous high volume dry commodity. Its features are standardized to achieve the application’s requisite durability, dependability, and ease of processing.

Hai Phong Cement Factory was Vietnam’s first cement plant. It was established in 1899 using vertical kiln technology adopted from France, with two lines capable of producing 20,000 tons per year. The majority of the work was manual producing.

At this time, there is only one cement factory in the country. It was not until 1961 that Vietnam had a second factory, Ha Tien Cement Factory in Kien Giang, built by the US, with 300,000 tons/year.

Currently, manufacturers making this material can be available from the south to the north.

Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation, VICEM Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Company, and VICEM But Son Cement Joint Stock Company are the country’s top three cement manufacturing companies.

Cement Manufacturing Process

How does this material go through the manufacturing process? Here is the standard procedure:

Step 1: Mine raw materials

Professional engineers apply modern technology to bore the rock and ignite explosives with minimal environmental impact.

Step 2: Deliver the raw materials

The massive rocks are fractured and brought to the facility by the conveyor system or trucks.

Step 3: Crush

The mine stones are transported to the grinders via conveyor belts, crushed or pounded into 1 ½ inch blocks.

Step 4: Pre Homogenize

It is a proportionate combination of several limestone, clay, and any other necessary component.

Step 5: Transfer to the storage of raw materials

Each of the raw materials is transported separately to silos. It will later be added in specific amounts according to the particular type of cement produced.

Step 6: Mill raw material

The vertical steel mill is where this happens.

Step 7: Homogenize raw substances

This procedure occurs in silos designed to provide a consistent ingredient blend.

Step 8: Undergo calcination

It’s the essential phase of the entire procedure. At 1400°C, the raw substances become clinker.

Step 9: Mill cement

Steel balls of various sizes grind the clinker.

Step 10: Pack and ship
